So far I was always unlucky when climbing up through the Zahme Gocht to Alp Sigel. I typically ended up in thick fog. This time I enjoyed nice but also very hot weather. The path up is impressive with the rock wall is coming closer and closer. Finally, you can pass through it and get up to the Alp.

Once you are up on the Alp there is a great panoramic view to enjoy. One one side there is the Hohe Kasten while on the other side there is Altmann and Säntis.

During the afternoon a lot of clouds started to form up. Actually, rain would be very welcome – the Sämtisersee is pretty dry.
